Here's another mod quickie from me. Same goals as bountyhunt (compatibility, gameplay-twist), but even smaller filesize (~10KB).

It's basically UT domination in any JK level with any other mod you like to play.

The mechanisms: Host is using a new item to place/remove domination bases. When everything is set up, he starts the domination mode using the same item (it has some sort of menu). During the rest of the game, players can "capture" a domination base by touching it. The base will then display a hologram of it's "owner" and grant him 3 score points every 10 seconds.

You can also play some sort of "king of the hill" by only placing one central domination base.

This is the beta version of the mod. It still has to be excessively tested. I'm always grateful for bug reports and improvement suggestions (but DON'T DARE to mention the missing rHand on holograms, or...).

That is so sweet! But tell me, how do you get it to detect and generate a 3do of custom player models? Do you have to program them all in before hand? How'd you do it and get such a small filesize? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/confused.gif]

(still awesome concept and exectution though)

He creates a base thing, sets the model to the player's model, and appends a right hand to it.

But how does the cog implement player models other than default JK models into that position, on that platform?

OMG, I said DON'T MENTION the missing rHand. I know, it could easily be fixed, but I'm just too lazy to.

I didn't mention the missing rhand.
As am matter of fact, I missed the part where you said it wasn't there (somehow [http://forums.massassi.net/html/rolleyes.gif] ). I assumed you did the same thing on this as you did in PWP3.

It won't make much of a difference anyway, because the absence of the hand is such a small detail (because most people wouldn't just stand there and stare at it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif] -- they have to worry about getting shot)

Okok, it almost works now. I got still two problems (three, actually, if you count my girlfriend, which didn't like the fact I spent half the day with "computer stuff"), one that is easily fixed (manual kill scores) and a more difficult, possibly unsolvable one. It's about SetThingClassCog() that does not always seem to work on client machines. If anyone knows more about it, please, help me!

True, but the LEC models don't; thus, if you were playing with just regular JK (or just about any other mod for that matter), there would be no right hand on the hologram
