I really like the top one. It's simple and has just a few colors. The rest are good, but nothing I like as much as the first one.

I absolutely love the way you got that clear and crisp yet rough look to the pictures. It seriously is amazing the way you focused so well on the first and last pictures.

That is one serios Daddy long legs. I've seen them almost 6in long though. Very creepy.

this is easily accomplished by careful focus with a high speed film. 400-800. for more dramatic efects try 1600 or 3200.

anywhos, murc did you use that "macro" trick for the spider one? it must really be a {expletive deleted} to focus with that. you said you have to physically move away from your subject?

Yeah, I used the inverted lens technique for it. It's not easy to focus, I usually end up just pushing my tripod a little bit closer or further from the subject to get it in focus. A slower shutter speed also helps drastically, otherwise you end up with too much DOF.
