These aren't anywhere as good as some of the other photographs that have been showcased on here, but I took them this August and had them lying around and felt in the mood to post something, so here goes. I have resized these images a bit, but if anyone wants me to just link to them instead, I'll do that.

This one is on here just for the hell of it. I took it because it was an awesome looking payphone. It turned out blurrier than I wanted, but I think it still looks OK.

Thanks for the comments :)

I live in Maryland, but the pictures were taken in Boston.

The reason I almost got arrested is because that is South Station, Boston. It wasn't closed, it just wasn't very busy. I had to get dropped off there about an hour and a half or so early, so I had some time to kill and figured I'd take a picture, which is a bad idea (9/11 security regulations). A cop came out with his bomb sniffing dog and I had to show him all my ID's/explain to him what I was doing in Boston, where I was going etc. I get the feeling that if I hadn't played my cards the way I did I would've been detained for a bit or at least had my camera confiscated. The guy was pretty pissed off. I guess in retrospect I probably should have known better, but before and after I could find no sign regarding photography.

What's your email, SAJN?

It's a pretty sad world we live in when you don't even have the liberty to snap a few pictures (and it's not like you were in an army base or something.. geez..)

nice. I really really like the first one, something about lines... (my photography student friend has a thing about lines in pictures, and it seems to have rubbed off on me)

the train station story is just appalling to me, I can't believe the state you guys are in now...

Nice. I really like the Chinese lion one. The only thing that's bugging me are the flat grey black values. Try fiddling with levels a bit so that the second nocturnal shot in particular will come out even better with more contrast.

Take more!

Some of those are pretty cool! Keep at it!

Just a suggestion though, try to get more contrast out of your pictures (use longer shutter speeds, slower film, etc)

What kind of film are you using by the way?

I think I spy a finger in that last pic... :p

Anyway, they all loook very good. An impressive combination of calmness and activity. They'd make a nice screensaver.
