Learn to use layers, you must. Along with layer transparancy, and less white[well, black]space.

Improve, your PSing will.

If youre not going to post anything constructive, dont post.

Macro- You might want to learn how to use layeers and transparencies to make the image look more interesting.

I don't mean to be mean, but I'd have to agree with the last three posts. It's not really worth being posted for showcase and it does look like you just cut and pasted pictures and put text. Try some interesting effects and stuff

Not an excuse from where I sit.

I've been ysing that program (Photoshop) for about 8 years now. I didn't know jack when I started. I learned via experimentation. Then I followed a few tutorials and learned more.

Pick a filter, and play with it. Drag things around. Play with options in the menus. You will NOT get any better otherwise. Even tutorials won't help you. You need to get in there, and play with everything. Make big errors? That's what the History is for. It corrects things Undo won't. Learn about it.

As harsh as that may sound, it's the downright truth. Help and tutorials will only take you half-way. It's up to YOU to figure out how things work and how to apply them.

Not entirely true. While certain filters are helpful (blurs and stuff) other filters like lens flare are overused too much. Experiment with different blending techniques and brushes. Look at tutorials and ask people how they made things.

Some people deserve PSP more than others, like me. I deserve PSP. I wouldn't use it for MSPaint edits, no. I'd use it for the good of humanity. Please God, give me what should be mine.

Again, depends upon what you use it for. Generally speaking, yes, it's far too overused. But there are loads of places where it can be used to base or be used to construct another effect on.

That and layer masking. You can do good collages with layer masking.

Thank you, kind gentleman, for making my day a tad brighter by posting an image of lovely miss Portman. :)

Okay, I have some ideas. I'm assuming you want to stick with the "screencaps from the movie" motif.

1. Smaller picture of Nat. Yes, she's hot, but she doesn't need to take up half the picture.
2. Some sort of border.
3. Center the text.
4. This was just an idea I had, but you could add some sort of Star-Wars-ish hologram projector in the middle that would be projecting the pictures... that way, you could add beams and stuff going up to the pictures, which would make it more interesting.
5. Something in the background. That's what the blue scribbles are supposed to represent.
6. Perhaps you might want to add some sort of smaller border around each picture.

Here's a quick example I whipped up in Paint, just to show you what I mean.

Hope this helps!

...considering that the only time you'll ever see a lens flare is if you're, say, looking at the sun through a lensed device, I'd say so.

Kyle, I like the idea of the lens flare lighting up Natalie's chest. mmm...anyways yeah..the only thing keeping me from telling you that it needs serious work is the pic of Natalie.

Haha, the funny thing is: I didn't even realize that that's where the circle is centered on. It was just supposed to be a lens flare off of Buddy's lighning in the other corner. But now that you mention it, it kind of looks good there.
