The other day I went with my photography class to a local junkyard to get used to the cameras we are going to be using during the year.

i would suggest that before you snap your picture, run your eyes to all four corners of the frame, to see if theres anything that may be distracting. this kind of thing messes up about half of the photos.

also, consider your background as well as your subject.
