You can't catch lightning in a bottle.

So we catch it on film.

Sis and I were rather bored during a thunderstorm last month so we went inside the veranda armed with the digital camera and, that's pretty much the best result. >.>

Wow, now that's what I call a lucky shot. Even if you have a digital SLR, it's still lucky. I've never personally managed to get a picture of lightning.

Lucky indeed, we've got about 20 other pictures where it's just a faint bright area, or just total darkness. >.>

I'm pretty sure that there is a way to get a camera to take a picture when there is a burst of light or something similar. It might require some extra stuff, but it probably would be worth it.

Lightning is easy to get with an SLR. Just have it set to a low f-stop, keep the shutter open with a seperate shutter button and keep something black in front of it until there's a flash. Do it for a few minutes and you end up getting tons of different forks in one shot.
That painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.

Yes, but not everyone is a Mr. Rich Fancy-pants like you, and therefore not everyone has SLR cameras.

reminds me of trying to take a screenshot of the lighting effect when I was showcasing dark tempest 2.

Needed some cat-like reflexes! :p
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

Exactly. ('t is a digital still camera, for clarity's sake. XD)

Or just some wild guessing when that lightning will come. Which at times leave you taking pictures of the night sky.. or clouds.
But it was fun anyway. *cackle* Methinks we'll do that again next time it thunders. >.>
