But I won't release it! Hah!

This was inspired by Spiral's high-contrast screenshot of his WIP 'haVen', but I deviated from just upping the contrast on these textures, and also greyscaled and added a faint blue tint to get the feel I was looking for. I think I've succeeded. The textures on the walls are a little iffy, but the original ones were all aligned at 512x512 :o , so I had to make a quick swap with something a little more generic. I'm satisfied. Are you? o.O

That would probably be the sucktacular new wall texture. Fear not! I'm not going to release this, so it will never have a chance of dirtying your Episode folder. I whipped this up in around 30 min. But what about the idea of washy textures like that in general, huh?

Not only a cheap shot, but a lacking one at that.

I'm not too keen about the monochrome feel of those textures... I think they needed a little variance of color, not just brightness.

Good attempt, however, notice spiral's picture:

The lighting is still there, however it's either really bright or really dark. With most of the color still there.

Mess with your lighting some and if you could brighten those textures up a bit I think you'd have hit it.

It doesn't look bad, but it's not the same effect. Also the monochromaticism has an irritating effect after awhile.

Personally, I think if anyone really wants a level like Spiral's with the high contrast look, they should go to the trouble to tweak their moniter contrast settings (or edit the textures in the gob) instead of asking for the authors to supply special textures.
