the first one is nice, but as my color teacher likes to say, "The stage is set, where are the actors? this shot needs a Hero."

cant think of a better way to put it.

second shot: great exposure, but i think you have a little too much Depth of Field. were it me, i'd reshoot with a wider aperture.

that's another of my color teacher's things. "When in doubt: Reshoot."

You made those in Speedtree, didin't you? :D

In all honesty though, those shots look pretty good. As Ford said though: they need something more than the bg. a house. a better tree. anything..

Thanks for the comments guys. I agree with you, but when I was walking through the woods by myself there wasn't much for a subject other than the scenery. These were also taken with my digital camera, so I didn't have much control. I'll post the ones taken with my SLR when I get the film developed.

They are both great, but there is this one brown old, dead leaf on the right hand side of the 2nd photo, and it's driving me nuts :p
Think while it's still legal.

Hah, you could go visit the Raven Software offices. And maybe tell us if they look anything like how they are depicted in JO/JA and SoF2...

But uh, nice photos. I really like the first one.

your sky is a little blown out in that one. if its one of the digital, i'd suggest using the burn tool in PS to burn it in a little. cause the information is there, it's just lost in the reversal process.

otherwise good shot.

you'd prolly do well as a stock photographer. ;)

I was going to try to fix this, but my digital camera really blew out the sky a lot. There's really not much to see there, so burning wouldn't help much.

Emon - Yeah, I just found out a week ago that Raven is here. I'd love to visit them sometime...

I haven't met anyone by that name yet...I'll keep my ears open though.

In the meantime:

And yet again, nothing too amazing, but this one's a bit more than just trees.
