All the gun models are in game. phear me! (plus I have solved the daughter, son, and father of all redox equations by myself in Chem like it really matters to anyone here but I can't solve the mother of all reactions, go fig *shrug* :p)

Theres alot of features not shown, but its just to say that I have gotten the models in game. I'm hoping to realease an alpha/beta soon also. So whatcha think?

Strange crosshair...looks like a smiley rolled a little on the side.

I agree...the crosshair is a little strange. Looks good other than that though.

those new keys look shibby.. but just steal teh desert eagle from ss3 b9 and yeah just small reg crosshair would be good

Yah, it looks like you've done a great job with the programming and animation, but the models just don't do it justice.

Accually, those gun models don't have textures..... I also can't really make them, I'm horrible at textures. :o But what models are you refering to?

Heh, it took until the 4th pic before I understood that the red thingamajob wasn't a horrible blood sprite but a crosshair.

Pull those hands back so you have a better view of the weapon and not seeing so much of the arms. Also, your idea sounds really cool, but I'd really try to improve upon those models.

Yes, you should release beta. (I am a big promoter of JK editors sharing JK technology and ideas--see the Hub.)

The player movements (keys) look good; they are some of the ones I was wanting to see made.

I am particularly interested in how well the prone position plays in-game in terms of the player's collide sphere, floor attachment, and first-person viewing. I assume there are issues to be dealt with to make it work well.

Glad to see you are still working on JK.

BTW I like the animations, but the gun seems to lowpoly for my tastes (maybe textures will fix that, but doubt it) and please try to fix the gap between the hand and the arm.

Nice work so far... Now you just need to add textures! As for complaints about the models, I've seen them; He's using a variety of pistols, not just "A pistol," though I'm unsure why he's only showcasing one in-game. As for the textures, the weapons will look a lot better once they are textured. (Anybody here interested in offering their l33t texturing skillz for this?)

That crosshair looks a little wierd, though understandable, to note the angle that your shot will be skewed from. However, I think it should be switched to something less lop-sided, particularly since it'l be innacurate when you use two pistols at once.

Again, Descent_Pilot, what was the entire list of pistols? I only remember a Glock-18, a Colt M1911, and a Barretta being included. Also, I'd be glad to Alpha/Beta-test that for you. I believe my Yahoo e-mail address is listed in my profile, though you could send it to my GMail account. (with the same name as I have here at Massassi)

I am going to release a public alpha/beta by next week. I did showcase 3 pistol models in the previous, and heres all but the FN 57. Shown are the Walther P99, Sig Sauer P228, Baretta 92FS, FN Browning Hi-Power, Colt 1911, H&K Mark 23, FN Five-Seven (thats the splinter cell pistol BTW), and the DE, plus a ka-bar knife. Yes I do need to patch that hole, I'll do that before the public a/b release.

What's with the 3rd pic from the top? does the guy have a gun for a head? I under stood that circle thing in james bond, cause it was supposta be a camera inside of a barrel of a gun, that was being pointed at james bond... yet in the 3rd shot, it appears to be the guy's head.. hmmm

Its just suppose to be a camera effect. :p But the textures come in the final mod, this is more to show what to expect before I fine tune it and release.

Yea, I'd strongly suggest remodelling and retexturing all of those. Because from the weapon names you listed, you cannot tell what is what.

Like I have been telling you over and over again: Flat models won't work. stop being stingy with your pollys, and make the guns representable of their realistic counterpart.

Have you considered that he just might perhaps be running into the surface limit for JK meshes? It's arround a pathetic 256, IIRC. (making many of the gun models displayed here completely incompatable) Give that he's apparently put quite a bit into making the curves not look like crap, (by using more than those 8 and 10-sided barrels that have been popular for the past years) I'm not surprised that he's not put too much into making all those frills for guns that really don't have them; the larger versions of the models that have been displayed have shown what features are really needed in 3D. screws in the gun frame really shouldn't be a place to waste polygons; texturing will make things look much better, and I highly doubt you'd be able to tell any difference between the finished product, and the same guns with an ubsurd polygon count.
