Great! I love it! Then again, I've got a fetish for dirigibles, Jules Verne and alternate-history type things.

I especially like how it baggily billows out between the structural ring frames. Also I like how styledly spartan and fragile it looks with the way-long exposed propeller-shafts, and the small hinged control surfaces with the drooping cables leading out to them. You might want to put a brace between the rings though, like you've done around the hatch on the starboard side, as it looks like the structural rings might almost slip off.

I'm not exaggerating my enthusiasm when I'm saying that just looking at the thing presses some button inside me that makes me grin. Needless to say, I'll be following this project with interest :)
*big thumbs up*

Now, for my crit:

I really don't like the detail on the engine. It just doesn't seem to fit at all. I also think more of a wood, or at least metal, with a warn-down tarp look would be better, as far as textures go. Right now, it looks like a poorly made space-ship. I think with the right textures, it'd look more olderish.

Those patches aren't exactly complex, but they're used in quite a styish way, bravo :)

I'll have a go at that texture for you later today.

thanks gothicx, just something that looks old and sort of like cloth...hard to explain. Also i'v not seen sky captain, but i have played crimson skies, which as i understand is quite similar..and have you seen 3dmark 05? its got a blimp , it played as inspiration :)

Nice work, very cleanly done, particularly with the "patching." (which I interpret to mean the same thing as "stitching") You've done quite well with the texturing, and I agree that it'll look a lot better once you get better textures on that thing. Unfortunately, I don't know If I can help you there...

It's nice. But I don't find it to impressive. I do like some of the patch work on the engines, but other than that. I don't see whats so awsome about it. I'm not trying to downplay your creation. I just believe you can do better than that.

Patch-work meaning the curved brushes.

It's very nice. Very good work with patches from my point of view. Of course once you have the proper textures in place, it will be easier to judge it fairly. And the proper skybox.

I'd try for some type of solar propeller for something in space. It makes it more believable, and I think it'd fit nicely with the engines you have.
