not comparable to your first, by any means. Very nice

Yeah, it's a very nice picture. Very strong and courageous use of motion and colours. The wind effect is succesful indeed.

Yes actually, I realized it looked a lot like the Sierra SGI parser games. Maybe I'll make one.

Painter 8. I used acrylic brushes almost exclusively. A few airbrushes and distortions as well.

I like it. The pixelation in the lower right is kind of annoying though.

Nice wind. :D

insanely better than your first. the waves around the vortex look awesome.
2004-11-02, 9:01 PM #14
That looks awesome. The tree is a bit thick, but that's just an observation, not a gripe.

I really like this work Emon :) - there's an essence about it that I just feel I can relate to; a soft, very simple yet effective stylised image. As I've said, there's something that I can connect with, but I'll be danged if I can put my finger on it...

On second thoughts, I don't wish to ruin the illusion - I don't think I want to figure out what it is that makes this stand out for me. I'm not a huge fan of some of the artwork that can be done electronically (so I'm old-fashioned and traditional - so sue me :p) but this one just feels right... *right-click -> save* :D

Keep up the promising progress :) - you can see the marked improvement from where you first started with this program --- and from the direction you've gone so far, I like what I'm seeing (and I dare say what is "yet to come") :D

Unfortunately, I can't see it. In IE it's a big red X and in Fire Fox it doesn't even show up. :(

What's going on?

That was ITS putting a quarantine on my computer because I was using a relatively insecure X server...It works now.
