My new desktop for my sister's computer.

So. My sister recently discovered how to change the desktop.

It's changed six times every day in the past week, each new desktop being more annoying, making the icons harder to read than the next.

So while she was in school today, I whipped up this new desktop for her:

Take that!

Gothic's is actually rather interesting. And it's amazing to think that came from the first bright blue one. (You can tell because the H is still there...)

What a privilige to witness your practical display of affection to a sibling. I wish my siblings would make me desktops!

Do they still have that active desktop thing where you can have animated GIFs as a background?

Not that I'm suggesting anything here...

Unfortunately, that last background doesn't have any shadows in it, so it's not quite good enough; sorry!

Am I about the only one who uses a background taken from one of their games?

The perfect desktop in 7 easy steps:
1) Minimize all windows. (Optional.)
2) Press printscreen.
3) Open MS Paint. Paste from clipboard and save as BMP anywhere. Set as desktop. Close MSPaint.
4) In Windows XP, right click, uncheck Arrange Icons | Show Desktop Icons. In other windows versions, turn on active desktop and then a hide desktop icons option will become available.
5) Hide any active desktop windows.
6) Right click on the taskbar and uncheck "Lock" if not already unchecked. Click and drag the border to the smallest size. (Alternatively, turn on "Auto-hide", but it's easier to figure out.)
7) Watch as your victim tries to click on their desktop icons/taskbar/windows. Secretly videotape for lasting memories.

There's an easier way than changing all those settings. Go into task manager and kill explore. You can bring it back with C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe when the fun's over ;)

I meant a background texture, not a screenshot... My brother constantly switches his background to has favorite latest edited screenie... My favorite was a 4-frame sequence (not animation, though), saying "Pork. It's what's for dinner," showing an appropriate scene from Warcraft III.
