Or something. Hey, maybe I'll be able to make a movie with this stuff soon ...

Oh, might as well show a drawing I did for Dragon as well:

It's an animation program for Jedi Academy / Jedi Outcast, written in C++, it works, in some sense of the word, nearring beta testing phase ...

yeah, and 200x better than Jk's.

I think Wudan used the default OpenGL hardware lights, which would look exactly the same as JA's lighting...kirby, get off those hallucinogens.

I wasn't trying to offend you fanboys, I was just making an observation. It still looks better, imho.

I'm not a fanboy, I haven't played JA in probably a year. I just don't like antifanboys.

Well, in JA, you can adjust the lighting settings, I think it might actually be cheat protected (for rational reasons), but you can adjust it to look more dramatic.

Yeah they're just hardware lights at present. At present the lights and the blades don't pulse like you'd expect, but that can be changed. It's not a huge priority, it just was bugging me that the sabers weren't casting any light.

I actually read up on OpenGL's hardware lighting and I've come up with (what I think is) better lighting still:

Never you mind the horribly messed up hands, this is an issue that I, and my one beta tester Thrawn42689, are aware of.

(edit) hehe wrong thread. Well wudan, it looks amazing. I can't wait to try out this animation program, it'll sure give JA a much needed popularity boost.

Yeah... I mean something like this persay.. would actually motivate me to make my "intended" SP level(s). If ya could also use pre-rendered models and make avi files out of thier animation then process over to the quake video maker for ROQ file use.. then think how much that will boost its popularity! Thats thinking of terms to those who have no 3d max skills towards animation..

As well, it would provide some new, and possibly half-realistic saber combat.
