So I was able to revive an old hard drive, and I found a ton of my first maps, dating back to about 1998. Here's one, with updated texturing and lighting. It's a small sabers-only map:


I'm weeding through my old collection and attempting to find some decent maps to put into a little pack of sorts. If anyone else has some old maps they want to throw in, let me know.

The map itself is complete, but it obviously has horrible lighting. This will take a little while to fix, but I'm not going to go overboard on it. I have one, maybe two more maps that I'll consider reviving for the little pack.

Did yuo always post under Blood_Asp? I only started to notice that nick around when JO came out and you released a slew of killer DM maps.

VotJ was my inspiration for this map many years ago.

I used to have a massassi account before I moved and changed computers, but I stopped posting around 1999-2000 because I didn't have time with school. I ended up forgetting my username/password, so I just stopped mapping for a while. When I came back, I had an abundance of free time, which explains the sudden appearance of maps.

...Anyway, progress is slow and bothersome. I shall try to get something showcased this weekend, but who knows.

I remember giving up on it because I had massive HOMing problems. I had no concept of optimizing adjoins, lighting, or texturing back then...
