more like a complete remake

Things to do...

fix the blade... obviously
darken the blood a little
add some blood on the handle

Looks much more realistic. You might try to smear the blood a little, try...hmm, try making patches of darker blood and using the smear tool a little or something..or better yet, erase some small areas and smudge that over, so you can see the underlying blade.

Looks like you were killing people with it, not a box of donuts. Nice work.

Curious -- are the hands always bloody? Otherwise, the switch between bloody hands w/the knife and unbloody hands w/ other weapons will be odd.

Please remember that blood darkens as it is exposed to the air and dries! After mabye only a minute or two, it will be a very deep red, presuming it is not actively flowing from a wound, which would keep an area continuously wet.

Otherwise, the knife looks pretty good, though I would've suspected that a knife that had stabbed somebody would've had more than one major stream coming down it, and might've had the blood smear a bit more.

Are you sure? I've never played a single multiplayer game where a single match lasted less than... I believe 4 minutes, but 99% were always at least 5 minutes long. then again, I've never played Counter-Strike. Are the matches similar to missions from, say, Perfect Dark? In there, the single-player missions are incredibly small, and although average play length for most missions is at least 15 minutes, you can complete most of them in very little time, and a few in times close to a single minute. Perhaps a screenshot including the mission timer at the end of a match might clear thigns up for me, but does the timers I've seen count up, (time elapsed) or down? (time remaining)

in counter strike rounds generally last no more than 3 minutes depending on how many people are camping at the end of the match

once you die in a round you stay dead until the round ends... a common time limit for a round is 5-6minutes

Think about what happens when you stab or slice someone with a knife, it's always the upper part, just near the tip. For a slice, you quickly slice through the flesh, there's no time for the blade to become saturated in blood. And even if you were to stab it and hold it there, the heavy stuff would smear off when you pulled it back out.

emon it's a game where you can survive a grenade blowing up at your feet... i'm sure the blood can be a LITTLE unrealistic

Did you ever think of maybe extracting some of the blood decals from the game and putting them on the knife? I dunno if it would look good or not, but I'd be curious.
