When Gaerath was young he wanted to be a vet. But he became a breeder. A dragon breeder.

The face of the dragon on the right looks perhaps slightly too "goofy", but the rest of the picture is amazing. Good work, as usual!

I dunno... there's something really disturbing about this one.

What exactly do you mean by that?

Those dragons don't look fierce enough to do any damage that would cause that kid to have scars on his face..
2004-11-16, 4:51 AM #6
But their elder brothers might...

Those are just hatchlings. The universe this takes place in has various kinds of different dragon races. Some more fierce then other. Some as intelligent as man other barely more intelligent than any animal working out of instinct. Some have legs and a tale, others just one or more snaketales. some have arms and wings, others just wings. There are even two headed ones and ones that can breath fire. The small ones reach about the size of 2 meters length, so slightly larger than a man. The large ones are often used to build fortifications on so they can be used in avian siege. Judging the size of the scars it was probably inflicted by a young adolescent from the kind that grows as big as a man.

'Tis very good. Me likes.

HOWEVER. There seems to be something wrong with his egg arm. The angle his arm is at and the way his hand is coming out of his sleeve don't quite match. IT doesn't seem comfortable.

hmm yes I think I see what you mean, I think I drew the end of his sleeve not completely right.

No, I've figured it out. It's the elbow. The elbow needs to move back (up and to the left and maybe a bit smaller) a bit.

I traced the error by using my picture as a background in the modeling program I posed my model in. and found the error, I'll fix it as soon as possible. (It could just be wide sleeves I guess, but that doesn't fit with the colour and the tough impression the chest-part gives)

His face is what creeps me out, I've decided. His lips look funky and his eyes look ... glazed and empty.

Love the scars on the face...adds humour and story to the pic
He's got to follow his own path. No one can choose it for him.

For the most part, the picture's excellent, but the dragons made me laugh quite hard.

Anyone else think those dragons look like they're on dope . . .

Well it was kind of my idea to make them look a bit tipsy, cute and completely unthreatening.
I intend on fixing this drawing a bit soon though, mainly fixing his arm and making the dragon on his shoulder a bit less tipsy :]
