I just made this wallpaper mostly because I was bored. Originally it was titled, "The Destruction of Geonosis," but I couldn't make a good enough shockwave to compensate. So it's just Geonosis, chilling in space for no reason. Enjoy.

Planet = awesome
stars = a little much
2004-12-05, 8:23 AM #5
Yea I agree. The stars would be blacked out by the brightness of that star thats very close.

But you do know that planets aren't the same thing as stars, right? Stars are actually suns, like the center of our solar system, whereas planets are the big balls similar (though mostly not as inhabitable) to the one you live on.

I'm not going to fix them, I like the way they are, scientifically binding to the laws of luminosity or not.

I can't believe you just told someone that stars and planets aren't the same thing.

I am going to have to extend my deepest respect for this statement.

And on another note... You're trying to tell him what the stars around Geonosis look like?

I find this to be on par with arguments I see with people debating whether a lightsaber blade looks "realistic."

I ask the following question:

HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW?

Wow... wtf does that have to do with ANYTHING. Did I really have to specify the location of what I was talking about? I assumed most people would be smart enough to know I was talking about the star at the TOP LEFT.

Yah, except me. Sorry. It's always a bad idea to start bashing other people when you made a mistake yourself. I apologize.

Did someone just say that stars are suns? Actually, the sun is a star, not vice-versa. A year of high school astronomy is finally paying off...

Because the basis of everything we know about Star Wars is from the movies! And of course we know what the stars around Geonosis looks like, for crying out koud there was a freakin battle in the asteroid ring!

So uhh, you lose :p

Episode 2 was shot digitally. If this were a picture taken on traditional film, which for the sake of my argument we're going to pretend it is, the UV rays from the stars would cause them to appear brighter on this photo than on the digital images used in Episode 2.

So uhh, you lose. :P

It looks good. I'm in the too many stars boat, but that comes down to persoanly preference. If you like it, it's all good.

But you forget that this is a digital image also, just like Star Wars Episode 2, so by ignoring the fact you are disregarding vital evidence proving you wrong. In other words, denial.

So uhh, you lose. :p :D
