Check out my recent redesign of my own graphic design business:

Sorry to disappoint you Takimoto, but I really did prefer you're previous design. This one just lacks something the previous one made up for. I don't know, I just think sometimes there's no point in trying to fix something when it's already working perfectly fine. :o

(it's still good, it just doesn't appeal to me as much as the previous one.)

I have to agree with Daft that it seems lacking, but maybe for different reasons (or maybe not?). One of the main things that made the other design comparitively appealing to this one is just the fact that it was centered within the window. This design just doesn't seem all that great when positioned to the left side.

I agree too. But, I do have good reasoning for the left-alignment, and it is due to IE in Windows XP having a bug in CSS positioning of backgrounds, when using the Plastic type theme.

It is off by a pixel or so, really messing up what my site is supposed to look like. For an example, go to this site I did using a CSS positioned background. Make sure you're using Windows XP and have your metal/plastic theme turned on (not the classic scheme), to see some messed up alignment...

I figured if I'm going to have a graphic design page, it should be pixel-perfect. I'll put a link up to the old site on my portfolio page, so people can still see what it looked like.

Looks professional and all, but not what I'd personally prefer.

Awesome job on conforming to web-standards. That's always my #1 goal, right behind a clean, concise design.

Your site is good. It seems more like a resume than a graphic-design portfolio, but if it's closer to your personal style than something more flashy, then it's perfectly fine. By flashy, I don't mean macromedia flash, I'm just referring to the current trend of super sleek-high-tech portfolios.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'll be fixing up my portfolio in the coming weeks, making it more 'flashy'. This past week was finals week at school, and graduate work is hectic. So, when I have some more time, I'll tweak the 'folio.

I recently added a feature where customers can pay me for the work I've done online. It's no big deal, just something new for my site...

http://www.sonspring.com/customer.htm

If they pay successfully, it goes here...

http://www.sonspring.com/paid.htm

If they cancel payment, it goes here...

I do to! ;)

However, I just noticed there's a marginal spelling in the http://www.sonspring.com/cancel.htm page. It's in the first paragraph under "Having Problems?," 2nd line down. It says, "If you plan on paying online in the future, simple return to our website later and do so at your convenience." I believe that should be "simply." Not really a big deal, I just thought I'd mention it since you're going for professionalism. :)
