Correct me if I'm wrong, but my interpreation of it is this:

"LOL" is an extremely over-used term on the internet. It has been abused to the extent where it no longer holds any reall meaning or value. So even if someone says "LOL" they're probably sitting back in their computer chair with a big frown on their face because they're just saying "LOL" out of habit and are actually quite P.O.ed with things. That, hence, is the subtle humor and irony of the wallpaper.

Is that anywhere near close to home base? :o

i like it. I wish the gradient in the background were more interesting.. or even plainer. Its just a step away from being totally awesome, imo.
