This isn't quite the final version that I'll be sending out before the end of the 25th, but it's getting there. It's going out to a good dozen people. I'll probably add some finishing touches. The crimson is a bit too much, I'll probably purplify some of the shaded areas, stain his legs a little, and dull out the colour too.

Felt tip pens + graded grey markers + Photoshoppery

Yes, I'm a lazy bum who can't be bothered to do backgrounds.

Anyhow. Make with the commenting & critiques. Be as honest as you feel you have to. Feel free to post your own personal greeting cards too if you've made any.

THat really looks great.

other than what you said you would change, the only thing I notice is on the swag bag, the front, larger part of it appears to have a slight crosshatching pattern on it. but it doesn't follow on the back section, past the belt.

but yeah, that's very impressive.

I had a friend back in high school who did stuff like that, just little pencil & ink sketches on envelopes. they were always some person with a word bubble saying the address.
He said the mail man always hated him.

it does continue but it is harder to see. great work. i love the snowmobile. feels kinda tim burton-ish.

only thing *I* would change is i would try to photoshop in like snow particles flying about him sol like it looks like he's grinning into a snowstorm.

Sorry for the necromice, here's the finalized version as it was mailed out (with less graphic compression and as > 800*600 res). Thanks for the feedback. Added more movement to the piece and other assorted trimmings.

Sehr gut, my friend. Reminds me of Metal Slug, for some reason. That's a good thing though ;)
