While I don't feel it is as good as my Geonosis, my latest attempt at a planet was completed some ten minutes ago in Photoshop (took about half a day to do in total). As before, the hi-res file turned out to be 205MB.

Kudos to the men and women employed at ILM, because from what I've seen in the teaser trailer they did a good job on the lava planet Mustafar. Trying to make Mustafar caused me to grow respect for ILM because lava (especially in an planet-covering form) is very difficult. Well, without further adieu:

Um, apart from that it looks very nice.

Something about the left side of the planet bothers me... other than that it looks cool.

Now.. if you combined those stars with your previous planet that'd be awsome :p

Something looks really odd about the dark patched on the planet and there is a black line between the planet and the atmosphere... ok now i'm nitpicking :p

One word: Mars

Yeah, George Lucas probably paid NASA to give ILM satellite photographs of Mars. Then they whipped up a model planet and slapped on the photo, because they were too unimaginative to make one themselves. . . .

And as we all know, Mars, like Mustafar, is completely covered with lava.

Hahahaha.
