Taken on *mumble* street in manhattan.

I was going around taking pictures of graffitti and stuff.
The depth blur was done in photoshop because I cant do that with my camera manually :(
More to come later on when I get some free time.

BTW- The colors look awesome in photoshop, but once they leave it, everything gets really bright. Any idea how I can fix that?

I like it, nice unique focus. To fix the color thing, check to make sure your color settings are defaulted, I had this problem for the longest time, red looked orange etc...

To bring up the color settings window default hotkey is shft+cntrl+k or by menu edit>color settings

hope that helps

You can get depth of field, even with a short lens, if you take the picture from a longer distance and simulate having a longer lens structure by zooming in a bit to compensate.

Atleast that works with my Ixus400.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

well... the color settings are defaulted. Do you think I should use the profile that I created wtih my LCD adjusting software?

If you have the ability to, change the F-Stop/Aperture size on your camera. A lower number will result in a decreased depth of field.

Of course, a large number of cameras today really can't do that. *sigh*

Heres another one. Depth of Field worked better in this one. I was alot farther away from the target when I shot this... The Garbage can in the first one I was right next to.

I understand the arpeture thing, but my camera isnt advanced enough to do that :P

Anyway... I'm not sure if im done with this one.. But here it is anyway.

4 FAT Birdyses!

I'f I were you, I'd blur out the background in photoshop. Yes, it's a rather nasty habit for a purist and I usually dont recommend it, but it'll take these images to the next level.

It's harder to see at these lower resolutions, but those backgrounds are blurred.
Maybe ill try to blur them a little bit more.
