Since Europa has water on it I said "Hey why not" So I got a project going for orbiter. pretty soon I hope to add some forest areas to the planet But now it has an life supporting atmosphere, and water clouds.

...Why do I have the feeling this involved very little work?

this wouldnt happen to just be one of those programs where you input coordinates and vew the solar system, would it?

and mapping isnt boring :P ..if you do it right..

I never could figure out that Orbiter thing. I downloaded it, but damn if it makes you figure out how to work it without any sort of help file... I couldn't even get any ships off the ground.

After countless CTDs its a damn alot of file tweaking. Orbiter isen't a solar system viewer. It's a space flight simulaterthat simulates the real physics of space flight meaning getting your ship into a stable orbit, re entry, etc. You can fly in both space and in a planets atmosphere.

You post these things every once and a while, and no one has a clue what the heck you're talking about. What did you actually DO. In english. No acronyms.

I'll hope you know, NONE of us use this simulator, so what you're showcasing isn't all that amazing from where we're standing. Give us some insight.

I use it, and it's pretty ****ing awesome.

The simulator itself is. I don't know how much work that took, but it still looks cool.

Heh, please excuse my lack of knowledge pertaining to astronomy. :D

It just looks a bit 2D, like the surface is not curving along a sphere but is instead a 2D image with a circle mask.

It's like an optical illusion, it's meant to look 3d (and it does to me) but some people still see it as 2d (which you apparantly see)

Hey Casperhead how could I set on these updated reflections in the Orbiter, I mean the yellow ones. Or should I download something to have these reflections. Otherwise I have that blue reflection on the water.
DEFINITION OF ZERO POINT ENERGY
The amount of vibrational energy associated with matter, as the parameters defining that matter decline to zero.

So, what exactly did you do? What are you showcasing?

He cloud and texture-mapped Europa and gave it an atmosphere.

Hey Casperhead how can I apply these updated water reflections the ones with more colour.

Just don't try and land, or they'll GET you.

All these worlds are yours, except Europa. Attempt no landings there.
