A major WIP level. I think I have too add some more details and architecture (but no too much, for it may take away framerate). Anyway, I'll try to update as I move along, because that appears the only way to keep my interest on one project.

This is a CTF map (red side). It takes place on ancient temple groups that remains hidden in an unexplored region of New Jersey. So, the ancient ruins are update with new, technological crap. Ideas are welcome, I guess. (2 pics below)

I really like it. I'd suggest some large trees coming from the bottom, and something to contrast with the sandy colors.. maybe a waterfall on the cliff's edge?

I agree completely. A waterfall (and maybe an oasis) would go perfectly with that level. I also think it looks reminiscent a la UT2k4, but my second guess would be JA, seeing as this is Massassi.

I like where you're going with this, your maps have always been showing great improvement. If I were you, I'd go to the Firethrill forums and start a WIP thread over there, allm of the serious CTF community for JA frequents that forum, they're bound to give you some helpful advise.

wow very cool, id suggest useing the planet backdrop for the sky so uv got this huge red planet above and useing the red lights make them stronger so the area goes red if u know what i mean, keep it it looks cool!

I added "jump pads" at the end of those two walkways. Something needed to be there.



As for the planet idea, can't be done. This is CTF so there are 2 different colors (red and blue). And two planets revolving that close might destroy this planet and New Jersey with such gravity.

GothiX, the seams can't be lined up with the walkway for some reason. The light brick isn't the same size as the walkway brick. And what forum do you speak of?

About the waterfall and oasis idea, I'm thinking about it. Personally, I don't want the players to touch the bottem of the map.

I do think the map is missing something unique. In the plans (which are located in my brain), maybe some sort of wind machine could be added. The power for the base needs to come from somewhere (I guess). So, maybe a windmill or a something of that sort could be added.

That sky is all wrong for Jersey.... needs to be a little more of a green hue.... plus, try adding a cityscape of factories on the horizon, some randomly strune litter and medical waste, and a couple hundred of the worst drivers on earth.... ONLY THEN, Jersey will it be....

And maybe use an embedded little line, with a clipbrush over it so it won't affect movement flow? Just a thought.

I think it is a great map, it really has some feeling. But just like all the others, i advice you to do a little more with the ground. Add a oasis, maybe some old grass, just do something with it. As for the level itself. I really like what you done with it. I think that maybe those 'claw-thingy's', on the sides of the walkways or a little too repretive. But i really like the progress

Maybe I need to fix terrain. You can see the ugly "wrapping" effect on the side of pic. I never seemed to get the hang of EasyGen.

I love the New Jersey idea.... I just hope you make it look and feel like New Jersey.... rather than some sinkhole in the Kalahari desert.... I know there's not much of a difference between the two... just that Jersey is more populated - - but I digress....:D
