Earlier in the month, during a period of boredom, I was stricken with an idea. Why not make a comic using Halo 2? It's something to do, it kills boredom, and to do one page from start to finish usually takes about 2 hours. Longer if I don't already have a script.
So I did. The first one was a test to prove to myself that it could be done with at least some ease. The script totally blew, it wasn't funny, it didn't make much sense, it was full of plot holes, and it was way, way too long. However, I was greatly impressed with the shots I ended up with for panels. So I decided to keep making them, only shorter. And thus I began a journey to find a plot. A week later, I had that. And now I have three pages up.

Right now, things are moving slow, I still have problems with some areas (namely layout, flow, amount of text used, and occasionally the clarity of the images), but overall, I'm pleased with the way everything is working out.
I've gone over in several places on DA about how I do it, but since I know alot of you can't be arsed to read...
The optimal way to do this would be via system link. One player has an Xbox all to himself and functions as the camera, the rest share an Xbox and function as the actors. That gives not only the benefit of bigger images to work with, but more detailed images (in terms of models and the environment) and the player emblems, which are useful in telling people apart. However, I don't have the luxury of owning two Xboxes and two copies of Halo 2, so I have to make due with my one Xbox, and three controllers. Which means I start up a three play split screen match, and use the 1st player screen as the camera, and the other two as actors. It also means I have to work three controllers at once plus the mouse (for hitting the screencapture button). Not exactly easy. The limit of two controllers for actors also means I can only have two people onscreen at any one time. So I end up doing ALOT of composite work after the fact in Photoshop. Tedious, yet rewarding when it's pulled off well.
So... I'm in need of comments and criticism. I'll answer questions too if there are any. Oh, and if you have a DeviantArt account, I'd like it if you'd comment there as well. It makes my ego feel better.
