No it's not going to be a stupid space ship with princess crappa aboard! Its going to be about an alien device called the stargate!

never seen atlantis, but from screencaps it certainly has the feel (IMO).

the pyramid... the ramp could stand to be a little longer.

and where can I get this orbiter thing and can I have your Prommy modeL?

Hehe that Star Destroyer is orbiting dangerously low. :p Or is it taking off/landing? That would be cool.

And since when is the world completely flat like that? :) Get a terrain generator or something! :)

If I remember correctly, the entrance wasn't actually attached to the pyramid on Abydos. It was partially buried in sand, then the pyramid was a little farther up a hill...

Agreed, this is a very impressive showcase. I love the detail you've lavished on this project - the first two screenies are wonderful, and that StarGate looks unbelievably life-like. The pyrmaid scene could do with some work though. The terrain and level of accuracy leave much to be desired - even though I'm by no means a Star Gate buff, judging by that picture it could be made more true to the original. Excellent work thus far though, I've enjoyed watching your progress! :)

hi guys, I am DCz_power...I'm the one who made the SGC, with help of Casper of the textures :) and the model of Wades Gate model.

If you go to stargatemods.com you will see the abydos thread in the WIP section. Thats where I post my newly added stuff/updating fixes to it.

I hope you guys enjoy this.

The problem isn't that they don't belong, the light is just too strong. When I look at the screencap, nothing draws my attention, it all just flows together; but in your level, the lights are so prominent that I'm instantly drawn to looking at them. Honestly, I never noticed the side triangle things on the stairs or the ground until your map. Try toning (lessening the light) them down and giving them a yellow orange look. The ground also need a red-orange color to it as well.

Now that I look at it again, the stairs have the color in their glow that needs to be on the other lights, BUT the stairs themselves should be white! lol. It seems you got the colors backwards, hehe.

Finally, the first triangle light on the staircase (the bottom of the 3) looks too thick in your level, thus adding to it's eye drawing potential. If you ask me, Atlantis need to have a flowing look to it, where nothing completely Grabs your attention unless it's supposed to, like some super lab thingie.

I love it and would enjoy playing this over, and over. Just tone down the lights and switch the colors and it'll be 10 times better. Hopefully this'll help, but it's probably nothing you havn't already noticed.

I will get to the light glow later on when I make make some of the railings reflective shaders and such. Right now im concentrating on getting the atlantis gate control room shaped out. Using Lord Rives reskined stargate, and a referance shot I recontructed the gate window. And did some work on the exterior balcony.

looking awesome! I agree about he brigness of the lights, but it's a WIP and i'm sure the shaders will change to be less bright and colored to match the show.

I SOOOO wanna beta test ANYTHING you make stargate.... your work is awesome and the show is great too...
