I've been working on a map for Red Orchestra for UT2004. It's fictional, and based in a fictional city with a random name I pulled off a map: Zhitomir.

Here:

This is one of the Russian spawns.

The other Russian spawn.

This is the first objective. This is an old shot, I don't have any new ones of these trenches.

River. It hurts when you go in it, due to sever coldness.

Once the Russians take the trenches, they move across this bridge to the city over there...

Closer.

This is basically all I have done in the city right now. I am making all the buildings that it is realistically possible for, to be entirely accessible.

Bombed out building.

Here is the interior of one of the floors on an office building. Every office is accessible, and you can shoot out the windows. I plan on making this place look more bombed-out in the future.

The interior of a shop. The rooms behind this are the storage rooms, and the second floor contains the living room/bedroom/kitchen for the people who live here.

This is a view out from the top of the church.

That's all I've got for now.

Cool. It looks like BF1942.

Please, for your own safety, never compare RO to BF1942. In the RO community, it's practically an insult, because RO tries to be (and mostly is) extremely realistic, while BF1942 is horribly arcadey. :(

Anyways, thanks. :)

Indeed, I never liked BF1942. They took no care for realism. I remember fighting somewhere in the pacific as an American and they gave me British weapons...wth.

Anyways, the map looks great. I wish I could play it, but I still need to download buy a real copy of UT2K4 so I can play online.

Looks like fun with alot of people!

But I'm confused. Does RO usually have games with alot of people? Because that map looks really open.

Yes, there are usually over 24 people in a server. It can support more than that, but it gets laggy, especially on maps with vehicles.

Sorry, didn't mean any offence. But it does have the same look as BF1942.

Oh, no offense taken, not to me, but other people might take it if they heard you.

Would you kill me if I said it looks like MoH? :o

(I mean that in a good way btw, I thought MoH was a really pretty game).
