The download link is in my sig. Two more controls:

Exit: Esc
Toggle Bouncy Walls: b

Suggestions on how to make it better are very welcome. It will have custom weapons and options, but they haven't been implemented yet.

Also, anyone who knows advanced Visual Basic, if you could direct me to some good tutorials, I would be very, very grateful.

Gotta Copy&Paste the link into the address bar...

I like it. The starry background is a bit too uniform, though. Add some more variation in star size and placement. You could also add some asteroids as obstacles. Maybe combine it with an asteroids, so that it also allows cooperative play. Or you could add power ups, like temporary invincibility or fastfire, etc.

Ah... Memories... *Return to his Atari*

I have 3-4 varients of that type of game. If you have an Atari ST or Emulated, I can give you a game called Space War.

Same thing. I may do an Enterprise model later, but the basic triangular-shaped one was simpler to code--fewer points to wrok with.

Don't have one, but that's okay. Space War is what I am basing it off of, but I am going to add in my own little quirks.

Current list of features that will eventually be added:
  • Completely customizable. This means controls, speed, starting weapons, projectile damage, etc; pretty much everything that will affect gameplay.
  • Limited single-player. Will be better if I can come up with a decent logic system for the AI to use.
  • Asteroids. Will be blow-upable (sounds cool), can drop powerups, and can be toggle on or off, unlike the original Space War.
  • Stars. Not just one, like the original, but there will be an option for two stars, and another option to have them orbit each other. And yes, the gravity strength will be controllable. Yes, it can be inverted.
  • Powerups. Lots of 'em. Will include weapons, shields, speed, repairs, armor upgrades, fuel, ammo, and more,
  • Better background graphics. The stars in the background are crappy, I know, but they were quick and look better than a block black background.
  • Warp key. Like the original, you will have an option to teleport to a random spot on the screen. WILL use fuel units this time.
  • Health/armor/shields (whatever you want to call them). I hated how, in the original, one shot would kill. You'd think a master starfighter would think to upgrade his ship's durability.
  • New wall options. Along with the stock wrap and bounce options, you will have damaging walls (encourage careful flying), solid walls (can't go beyond, but don't bounce), and any others I can think of.
  • Toggleable friendly fire. No more shooting yourself.
  • Maybe, MAYBE network/internet play, if I can get my hands on Visual Basic .NET. My dad's friend is supposed to be sending it to us, but we haven't gotten it yet.
  • Anything else I can think of. Suggestions are welcome.

Minor update. Several bugs fixed, and a pause button added. Pause key: p.
