Dhilani Fighter - Input needed!

OK, I've got three variations for this Dhilani Sentinel, to be used for the Blue Phantom Project, but only one to be realised. Which one should it be?

Middle. The winglike structure should give it more stability, and it makes it look more imposing, too.

You can get away with using the other two as "Modified Dhilani Fighter"s. :)

It also increases it's area, making it easier to hit. ;)

Add a dorsal fin to the middle one and there you have your fighter.

Why not work the wings like s-foils? Have them open and close for switching between atmospheric and space flight.

I would, but the s-foils function is limited to a small number of slots, which also have fixed angles.

1 - X-Wing: somewhat 10°
4 - B-Wing: 90°
50 - Lambda Shuttle: somewhat 140°

However, all these slots are already in use by other ships I need for the project.

And there goes! Poll closed. Here are the final results:

Version A: 7
Version B: 23
Version A: 24

So Version C it'll be then. However, since the similarity of the models and the scores, I might make B as an optional choice after all. :)

I think that the third one should be what the fighter looks like when it's landed, and then the wings expand out to the second one when it's taking off/flying.

Sorry, too late for voting. The poll's closed since my last post :)

Anyway, you'll be pleased to read(above) that both, 2 and 3 will be made and lastly it'll be up to the individual player to chose, which one to use.

Many thanks to Phoenix over at XWAU, I've come to a solutionthat fits all:

Using FG Colors I'm applying 100% transparent textures to either one of the wing pairs, both or none, so any combination is easily selectable by choosing a certain flightgroup color!

Red: inner Wings
Yellow: outer Wings
Blue: No Wings
Green: All Wings For the sake of it :D

It's now in the testing chamber and should be ready for download pretty soon :D

Yes, but the differences should be minimal.

However, I'm running the ship throuhg some tests to make sure all works fine.
