Happy Sunshine Poetry for the Deaf and Blind

Alright, over the year, I've been writing a few short poems (mostly they were for away messages so... ). Anyway, figured I'd share em.

Dream World
I'm in my place, where you can't bother me and everything that I don't like is not invited. At peace with myself for hours that seem like years. Truly, this slumber will be better than the one before, but not quite as good as the next. I'm having an adventure all night, and all of my friends are with me. We'll have tea parties on the ceiling, and chase after Father Time. Running away from the first sight of day, just so we can continue to play. And what if the day catches up with us? We'll put up with his nonsense until night comes and then we'll give him the slip. I hope to see you all very soon, whether in my dreams or in my life.

Hidden Agenda
Look into my eyes
To see past all my lies.
I've said I'll never love you
And you thought that that was true.
And if I further complicate
Things I say, I hope you'll wait
And look into my eyes,
Cause then you will realise.

Save Me
One...what I'll always be.
Two...what you'll never see.
Three...how many times I've tried.
And every time I die inside.
Please, save me from myself.
Take this book from off the shelf.
If you could read me then you'd see,
I don't want to be so damned lonely.
Oh, it hurts!
And I scream.
But what's worse
Is I bleed.
And still you stand there tall, and laugh.
Did you know without you I'm only half?
And will this misery ever end?
Or is it something you like to send?
But if you'd give me just one chance,
I'd like to take your hand and dance.
And all I want for you to see
Is that you can always set me free.
Help me.
Save me.
Trust me.
Love me.
Who made you God to say "I'll take your life from you"?

I like the first, the second says nothing, and the last sounds like linkin park. I'll leave you to decide if that's a good thing or a bad.

...I'm a guy.

And I guess most everything would sound like Linkin Park if you had one scrawny guy that screamed a lot, one guy who breaks into rapping, and repeat the chorus over and over again. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Linkin Park (who could tell?). I like to write poems and lyrics on the side incase I ever get into a band (drummer). I also wanted to be a writer for the longest time (fiction), but most everyone I talked to said you have to be a reader to be a writer. I say that's a load of crap. Writing should be your own thing that comes from your own head. It shouldn't be your words written in someone else's style. Sure, you can have influences, but to say you should read as much as you can to be a writer, that's just wrong.
Who made you God to say "I'll take your life from you"?

the advantage to being a reader is not that you can steal other people's thoughts, it's that you learn how to decipher the thoughts behind *their* words and therefore see how to put your thoughts into words.

...and you're just like me. I also am a drummer, and I also wanted to be a writer for some time... Still may. Just have to see where life takes me, but for now I'm more into sales.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.

With Linkin Park, Kirb means teen angst.
