Nice work, but that wind type filter over the top just decreases the quality, I think.

I like it, too, but the terrain looks a bit boring.

It's very nice indeed. Though in a certain sense zagibu is right; the terrain doesn't actually look like something you would stop to admire. I think it would be better if you either had some magnificient or spectacular formations there or perhaps a castle or a city. Now it's kind of hard to imagine what the woman is seeing over there...

You might want to read the text. "Wasteland" and "the Dead Planet of Dhilon" might give a hint of what is in question here. On the background: in fact, there once had been a city, the Dhilani Capitol Dhalarona Prime. However, The city was wiped out during a devastating battle to rescue Shiromy, who was held capive by the Dhilani, and now is nothing but a gasping crater.

That's no excuse. Even craters can look more interesting.

If you're using photoshop, I recommend using the blur tool on her jagged edges, it really helps.

after that apply a very soft gaussian blur to her just to soften her up alittle.

(possibly copy her layer and then blur that one while making it transperent.)

I like it. Concerning the canyon, perhaps you could add some shadowing to it, perhaps some ridges leading from the edges to the centre.
