Ok, i says i says, C4/Claymores suck Norway, especially to code, so bye bye crap weapons...

*waves goodbye*

I need more alien weapons.

And the storyline of the mod/level was to focus upon one of the ancient races, one we know least about (advantages for me then ;) )... the FURLINGS!!!

The furlings were mainly very peaceful, says stargate, but every race needs advanced weaponry!
But this new weapon for the mod, is unlike all the other weapons in the mod (by its simple workings and useage)

It more advanced than ANY guaould weapon, yet does not KILL as such (though I may add an extra energy weapon part to it later).

Basically, this Furling weapon uses the same technology as we see in Season 6 -
"Paradise Lost"

# fires energy that deactivates/dematerialises enemy weapons (mostly gua'ould)
# Dematerialises Enemies

Other ideas:

# Forces back enemy fire using a thrust like energy
# Destructive Lightning projectiles when u cant be bothered to be peacefull

They're easy to code, and if you feel they're not good enough, replace them with some new age super high explosives. I always wanted to see more Earth technology kicking alien *** in that show. I never understood why they never broke out Barrett Model 82As for anti-material, set up SAM sites and gave more guys Stingers. Death gliders are no match for that.

Oooh cool, Furling stuff. Haven't seen too much of that on the show (I didn't even know that's what was in "Paradise Lost"... I'll have to watch it again). But keep the claymores too, please?

the furling have not been seen on the show, the "doorway" from paradise lost is the only sample of furling technology we've ever seen...

the weapons looks interesting so far... wahts the complete list so far?

I like new alien weaponry just as much as the next guy... but I love claymores. I mean, I love claymores way too much. They blow up. They're directional. They come with cool remotes. I love them. I want claymores. I'm an idiot, and I don't care.

Practically finished!!
As I said it became a Bow design, crossed with a sword (wierd huh?)

That looks, if I may be so bold, extremely swank.

The front seems a bit thick, maybe make it a bit thinner to make the weapon seem less front heavy?

Did you, by any chance, get the idea for the front from Farscape (D'argo's sword)?

only dargo 's sword came to mind when I first began drawing the front, then I added what I hoped was original ideas.

Still got the back to do and some extra stuff so a human can hold it.

Me too! But there was NO hint at all, so I was gonna design my own.

(furlings are not small furrry creatures, but I think I'll make them huge and hairy like sexy chewbacca)

that picture you posted above as a smaple of their tech is from the episode where Jack and mayborne are stuck on a deserted moon together....

daniel guesed that the world the door was on was a furling colony, and jack and mayborn found skeletons, so I'd assume that the furlings are humanoid in appearance, unless the furlings, like the asgard and the goa'uld pretend to be gods and they were furling protected people...

either way, I'm pretty sure the furlings are humanoid based on that episode.

still a nice weapon tho.

The white boxes could use remodeling. Something a bit more sleak, and less teeth-like. As well, I could see the head spin on it's axis so the open area was horizontal, rather than vertical. Either way, I'm usually really against non-canonized designs for ANY movie, game, etc. But hey, if anyone could do it, and do it well, it'd be you. You've already proven that fact by designing a model that I certainly (Granted I don't know much about SG1) couldn't tell different from any real weapon for the show.

Holy hell, you just invented that? That looks like it came straight out of the show! Absolutely fantastic!

Those white boxes should be domes though, in my opinion.

Sorta reminds me of a qualta blade. Can't say I've ever actually seen it in SG-1.
