Was messing with Hellcat's 3DO Terrain thingy, and I saw a lot of people making islands and mountains, but no canyon type levels. This is the product of about 20 minutes work.

What I need to know is how to make it so you can walk on this 3DO without falling through...

Looks really cool, make it a _walkstruct and you won't fall through :)

It looks like it's got a lot of HOM in it. Also, I don't know if the stretched texture on the right wall look out of place or if it's just me. It's some nice little pools, though.

Yeah, you definately need another texture. Try dflt and add some lighting, so we can actually see something.

Yeah what zagibu said, it looks like it has some potential, but we need lighting and some texture variation so we can actually determine the walls from the floor... :/

yeah it looks pretty cool but those walls seem pretty, uh.... yeah.... and they actually look like hom or maybe you went up in the sky too far and it did that? i don't know...

Yuk. It's a great idea, but it's plain ugly. It's not just the texture, its the fact that its stretched in places it shouldn't be... You should have a different texture for the areas where the faces are more horizontal and walkable... like a nice "cracked ground" or a "grass" texture.... and that water wouldn't be so blue if it were that translucent.... and even then, the sky would have to be blue, as well.

You'll find every texture you'll need to make yer terrain look good at The Limelite.

there is also a cog wich you need if the 3do is in different sectors

How big is the scale there? Are those actual lakes or are those like puddles. If they are lake-size then you should make the walls on the outside into skybox, and then it would be VERY cool.

This is just proof of concept. I've thrown that out and started on a new map using this method, just looking for suggestions.
