Well, today was the opening of the 50th annual High School Art Show, and a charcoal portrait I did of a certain former RATM vocalist was put there by my art teacher. So, I decided to show up, just to see what else was there.

There was some pretty neat stuff, as far as I could tell:



But then when I ran across my own piece, I discovered that some wiseguy had stuck a "Best of Show" ribbon next to it.


However, my suprise (and chances of getting a relatively normal-looking picture) dissolved upon my catching sight of the punch bowl.


I'm still bugged about it though, because I never got his lips looking right. So that's what's up. Any questions?

Wow, I love that picture, wish I could draw like that. That's quite an artshow for a High School, some nice shots of the other artwork, I would have liked to have seen more.

Out of curiosity, how old are you?

It's actually a show for all the high schools in the district--and the building isn't as nice as it looks in the pictures. And I'm 16.

I really need to take more Art classes. I want to do a full sized blademaster in charcoal, and I think I have the skills. A panda would be good to do too...alas.

Awesome piece. Your school has alot of talent, it seems. We had a ton of great artists but never had an art show....lucky!
