Well, to be more precise, you're off to a great start. It definately looks like Helm's Deep (at least, what I can remember from The Two Tower's when I saw it back in 2002), but some of the edges are a bit jagged and there's still room for more detail. For example in this shot:
If you look at the boxed area, those triangualr supports are too jagged and pointed to be stone. I reccommend you round them out a bit and make them more cylindrical. Just a suggestion, they're not bad as is, but I think they could look even better.
If you post some more shots, perhaps I can offer some more suggestions. THis really is some great work, and looks like it could be an immensely fun level to explore.
Wow, just over a year of editing, and you're already pumping out stuff like this? Be proud, I couldn't have made anything on this scale until I had at least a couple of years under my belt. For your information, I've been editing JK and MotS on and off since Feb. 2002.
I agree, there is nothing quite so enjoyable as making a good level!
No problem, I had the exact same problem with the [ img ] tags when I first posted on Massassi back in 2003. I still don't know COG (which is the scripting language which controls in-game actions in JK/MotS). Just curious though, how old are you?
Yes, as already stated, that stands for a "Work in Progress." Don't feel afraid to ask what these acronyms mean, Massassi has a slew of them, and I'm learning new ones every day.
Well, if I can be of any more service in the future, just send me an email
here, and I'll try and get back to you. School's almost over for me now. I'd also love to test your level at some point. Just post bakc here if you have any other questions.
