In what program did you model this? I want to start modeling, but I don't know with what 3D Modeling program/Renderer to start...

awww huggles

Dominik--I used Cinema 4D to create a kind of crude 3D reference mannequin, but the picture you see is entirely painted in Photoshop.

I use Cinema 4D for my modelling, but I advise against learning it--it'd be better to learn 3D Studio Max or Maya, or both, as they're more or less the industry standard right now.

Photoshop!!??

I have a question though. Next year (Last year of high school), I have a computer course that teaches basic programming, 2D and 3D modelling. They use SoftImage XSI 3D Modeller. Do by any chance you know this? And is it good?

If not, then I think I'll stick to learning Maya/3D Studio Max.

I don't use Softimage, but it's a good program and you should take the course. :p

But learn Max or Maya too!

XSI is all right, but very different then most other applications. Regardless, a very important thing to keep in mind is that it is never the software, but the artist. I have seen people make amazing things with free apps, and horrid things with the most expensive apps. It's just that some applications fit an artist’s style more than others, which is totally personal.

I've always been fond of Lightwave, the tutorials on the Internet aren't as child-like.

In my school next year we all get spiffy PowerBooks. I'm gonna take Art and the Graphical Imaging courses. Should be fun, seeing as how we all get Photoshop and all that :D

Oh just come out and say it: "A WACOM Tablet"

I don't have one, but I want one. They turn Photoshop into an extention of your hand.
