So yes, after finally escaping from the broom closet, I have returned to show off my current work.
Before anything else tho, I want to say this: None of these are finished. Or anywhere near that, as you can see below.
I've had this delusion in my head for a while that I'm going to make a game. It started with a very short beginning of a story that I thought of, and now I've got a decent amount of details in notes on my comp. It's supposed to be a turn-based RPG, because I like those a lot more than this Action-RPG nonsense, and I think the story fits better with that style.
At the moment, this is just something I'm working on in my spare time. Progress is really slow, but I've got a decent start: the models below, my pages of notes, random drawings, a few smaller models that I'm not ready to show pics of yet, and the key ingredient - an engine. Bought a licence for Cipher ( www.cipherengine.com )... has all the features that I might want to play with and try to use, not to mention it was only $100, if I remember correctly.
Well, enough of my babbling. On with the pics!
First, a model I'm calling Anubis. Not sure if that's going to be the final name yet, tho. 1300 polygons at the moment.
Next part is a castle that's at the end of the game, but the player will see it throughout the story. The least finished model I'm showing at the moment, but also the most complex I've attempted so far. Trying to build it with the Cipher Engine limitations in mind.
Actually, the idea for this came from a conversation I was having with my girlfriend. The image popped into my head, and when I thought about it a little while later, I said to myself "I have to model this."
2566 polygons... and I won't even try to guess how many it'll be when done.
