Very good job. You could use a little more work on the side (bullet ejection slot thinger, safety, loading bolt) but for a first attempt, that's fantastic work.

This, by the way, is my absolute FAVORITE gun... ever. I play DOD_Flash exclusivelly for this gun. It's got amazing power, amazing accuracy, and is one of the best guns ever made. My grandfather has one in his massive gun collection and I absolutelly adore it. He's left the entire collection to me, and that piece will go directly under his picture in my future home some day, as they are 2 of my favorite things in the world; my grandpappy and this amazing gun he introduced me to.

looks kinda bland, but it'd nice for a first model, Keep going with it and keep modeling.

Sorry Kirby, but I have to say, the Sten is my LEAST favorite gun. You modeled it pretty well though, sum1.

That's great for a first attempt. You said you used AutoCAD, so you are probably doing professional work in this area (so it's probably not really your first model, but heh).
While I don't like the gun that much, I respect it for it's original design.

The gun itself is ugly, yeah, but when I say I love it, I'm talking about the damage it does. One of the finest built weapons ever.

And how many firearms have you actually disassembled?

Pretty much every old weapon in my grandfather's collection, which is a good 75 guns. Albiet, some are replicas and remakes, but I know a fair share about them.

*UPDATES*

turned down the smoothing when importing into 3DS to lower the polycount a bit.
