My second finished level. Not uploaded yet, though.

Certain features aren't visible in the shots, such as the fact that the lava slowly moves, steam/smoke puffs shoot up from the lava randomly, the central pontoon in shot three tilts up and down (I might try to make this based on player position, I dunno), and there is a background sound of bubbling lava that varies in intensity depending on how close you are to it.

Indeed very nice, except the skybox looks out of place, either colourize it so it has the same colour as the terrain or change the [lighting (if mots)/sector tinting/terrain texture colour] so the terrain has the same colour as the skybox.

I dunno, I personally think the skybox looks fine. But maybe that's just my untrained eye :D
I've got a website. It's at Geocities because I'm too cheap to get my own site.

i think this looks really awesome. my only gripe's the red-circled platforms - if you'd only use something else but them, it'd be perfect. just looks a bit out of place at the moment, IMHO.

Wow, way cool. Maybe use all rocks instead of the circle platforms?

I assume this was inspired by Mustafar in Episode III, and if so, weren't Obi-Wan and Anakin jumping around and fighting on little platforms and machines? I don't really have any problems with those circle platforms because, if this is indeed based on Mustafar, the platform-like thingies were there in the movie.

My $0.02 at least.

It's kind of based off of that, but what it really comes down to is that floating rocks look kind of silly -- at least, to me. Plus, the only other way involves whole tons of rocks sticking out of the lava, which would over-clutter the design.

Also, I may change the colouration of the skybox slightly, we'll see; it's not quite as noticable in the game.

Oh, and this is JK, not MotS.

You should also make lava bits popup now and then, kinda like the thing in Toam 1 when a whole volcano emerged from the lava and spitted pieces. And new key animations when you hit the lava.. cause i guess you only set it to be instant killing and then it's like water or something?

Most impressive.... I'd say revamping the catwalks, since most of the gameplay would be on them it seems. Try making them curvy and spirally in complex chaotic directions. Straight catwalks and floating pads are boring, and just make your map look unoriginal.

the land and lava looks really nice but that bridge in the first shot seems a big strange... too default i think. maybe something a little different... like a... well something like this

I was expecting a pryoclastic flow, but I got cheated with a lava flow. Son of a *****

j/k
It looks good except the insanely stretched pixels are bugging me.

I would suggest tinting the whole area red. The lava would give off a red hue, but the rock wall is yellow...

New shots, primarily of the new rock bridge:

In the last shot you can kind of see that little damaging globuals of lava are flung around with abandon now. Fun.

Wow, you actually made a level I have been dreaming to make! lol

I couldn't have done it that well, though. Can't wait for the release!

The seam between the rock and the skybox looks awful. They are completly different colors, and it really makes the fact that the edges of your heightmap are basically flat stand out.

Nice work. Lava always makes for good gameplay. ;)

You should make the rocks and rock bridges destructible and sink if you damage them in a conc war. That would be awsome. They should obviously reset or respawn after a period of time though.
