The healing power of words

Some one i know is kind of going through a rough time with someone he loves very dearly, but they have been seperated. I made him a little poem, and then realized how good it was. He complemented me on lifting his spirits a little bit. So i decided I'd post that poem on here, as well as one I just wrote

The one on Love:

You’ve step on nails,
You’ve swam through glass
You try to make
Your strength amass
You try anesthetic
It just won’t help
You try to block it
Which makes you yelp
You still don’t care
You know it’s worth it
To be with her
It’s worth this pain
To be with her
Once again

Love, it’s such a strange thing
It makes our hearts want to sing
It makes you endure endless pain
To be with her once again
Every time you look at death
You take another helpful breath
You know there’s love for you somewhere
Even if you don’t know how to get there

You try to sleep, it just won’t work
You try to ignore it but it hurts
You look at love with angry eyes
And then you hug it by surprise
You can’t resist it, you know you won’t
So next time just don’t-
Mess with everything you have,
And just embrace the love you have

and the Poem on Fear that I just wrote:
The shadow appears, it knows your fears
You hope not to die, will you be all right?
You can’t help but stutter at the horrible power
Of the things of which death cowers
You try to hide, you try to run
You know that all it wants is sick fun
You scream and shout and no one hears,
Could it be that no one else fears?
What waits for you is out of your control
You want to crawl up in a hole
You know your efforts to escape
Will end up being just a scrape
You’re scared to death, and death doesn’t come
Could it be that it’s become
A figment of your worst fears
It tries to crawl within your ears
You make one last dire attempt
You try and end this place you tempt
To haunt you every living day
It tries to take your life away
You realize that it’s all in vein
Like trying to catch a flying crane
With one last breath all your tears
Seem to wipe away your fears
The sun comes out to show the day
Maybe you aren’t alone today
You feel the sun upon your face
It seems that you’ve received some grace
You have overcome your fears,
You have to conquer Hell’s Spears
For all you need to live your life
Is to just focus on the light.

We have nothing to fear, but fear itself.
I had a blog. It sucked.

I loved the first one, "Fear" could use a little work though.
