To sum it up, a romantic short film* about a couple who are still between high school and college. They take a week's vacation off from work to rekindle their relationship and end up realising they couldnt go on if one of them died and the other was left behind.

the script so far: http://tmunplugged.net/void_script.html

(i'll admit it falls into the same genre as donnie darko, but i think that's just something that happens when you base a teen movie around a song, haha)

Things I noticed:
1) Neptune is so far away the sun would look like any other star from that distance. Unless you bunch all the planets together like peas in a peapod.
2) Asteroids rarely crash. The asteroid belt is mostly empty space, asteroids have plenty of space between them. It's nothing like ESB.

I lost interest after the interesting introduction bit but that's just me. :p

yeah, i know most of the space part isnt really real to life, and the sun part is probably going to change. might to something with a moon of neptune replacing the light on his bike instead of the sun.

...but yeah. haha. it's just supposed to show how many different places it could have crashed into, like all the planets were currently in it's path by the time it reached their orbit, but it missed them all other than earth.

haha, yes, Sigur Rós!

I don't think you should base a movie off a song and a burning desire to film some girl making out with you. Or at least not a movie that I'd see. You said 'begin plot', but there's really very little plot to speak of, just some romantic-esque dialogue, the make out scene and the paralleled beginning and end, which leaves the viewer with a very disjointed view of what's going on. What with the actual screenplay, I can understand, but as a film itself it might be confusing and definitely not all that interesting.

i understand what you mean, and i thought about it too, but i still have 6 more days of plot to write(hence the "more plot goes here"), and there's gonna be a lot more happening to the characters in those 6 days, not just them having sex.

keep in mind they havent been together a lot, the idea is that they're saving money (for collge or something) so they both probably have full time or multiple jobs, and most of their free time is spent sleeping or eating, and could be stressful because of work, so i thought it would be realistic for them to finally want to be intimate now that they dont have to worry about waking up for work the next day.

i got a guy who's really good at making 3D space scenes to do the animations for the opening/closing scenes, so sometime soon ill be able to show those. some storyboards as well. (if anyone would like to draw a scene, just tell me)

I'm always hesitant to storyboard for people because it gives the artist a tremendous amount of control over scene composition unless the writer shackles him down with limitations.

haha, it's ok zan. you messed up, but i still love you and your modeling. :)

and yeah thats true, gris. im normally into shackes, but i'd really just like some storyboards drawn so others can visualize what im thinking. well, better than just reading it anyways. i'd be pretty leniant with how the drawings are made, though. just basically i'd like the characters to resemble the pictures i provided, but thats easy.
