DESCENT_PILOT has....has.....has.......textured something! :eek: 5 hours of work, and only half an hour for everything post doing the texture. *shivers*

The model is nice.. I see some mapping problems by the trigger...

It just looks like you threw some random material on it honestly.. I wouldn't call that a texture job. I would call those temporary textures.

Looks more like a flat color scheme texture

Very good model, and you got the right idea for the textures, they just need to be more detailed.

add scratches with the psp dodge tool at 1 or 2 pixels, add lighting from one angle, and look at the reference pics and copy ALL details, and then some.

I think that looks absolutelly great. Yeah, they could be better, but that's a hell of a lot more than I can do.

You know, this looks better when viewed from a distance, but the accual texture looks cartoony. :em321:

And this is accually a Mark 23 and not a USP, the only real way to tell w/o measuring the chamber size is the shape of the safety.... but that is mighty close enough, since hte Mark23 is basically a USP.

Ohio, huh? Me don't get that. :confused:

Much better, but I don't like the way you did the grain on the handle. Looks too much like pure noise filter.

the pistol grip could be a little better looking..IDK how, it just looks like random static to me, and the trigger guard, on the inside of it that looks kind blurry...maybe make those gray-shiny bars go forward instead of side to side? But other than that, lookin' REEAAL good :D


OH! BY THE WAY! the trigger guard could be thinned down a little bit...I'm not sure exactly what a Mark 23 looks like, but the trigger guard looks a little too thick

The grip looks far too boxy for a Mk 23. Darken up the upper part of the texture. The cloud filtering is overly obvious.

Nice models there. You want to use JOKE for scaling and positioning your 3dos, then a quick import/export out of Jed so the normals are correct. Droids site seems to be gone though.. if you catch me on irc in #jkhub I can send it to you.

@Zell: I am teh back, and more likely to stay this time :D

@Decent_Pilot: Hope they help, they have for me. Use Joke to fix the texture coordinates, or set it in Milkshape 3d and export .3do. If you model in JED, just use 3do converter, convert to .obj, then import to milkshape and allign the textures to the map, then export .3do.

just remember to change surface light and re-export them in JED because JOKE saves 3dos that glow in the dark.
