The model in itself is awesome, but the textures need work, unless you're going for a cartoon look.

Needs too look more metallic

I agree with Jepman. Model looks shwank, just need to touch up the textures.

Do people just not notice that guns have things like a hammer, or a safety switch, or mag release?

The only thing missing is the safety switch.
DO NOT WANT.

Ok I stand corrected about the hammer. I didn't know it had an internal one like a Glock. But it still should have a mag release somewhere.

And here I thought it was made of light-weight plastics and composite materials for the large part of it. :em321: :p

In game, the Five-seveN.

Your models are REALLY REALLY REALLY good Descent, but ingame they don't appear to look so great, I think you maybe need better POV models and textures.

Fantastic though, you are definitely my favorite modeler for JK. ;)

OK, that's it, now I'm going to kill you DP.

Um, I mean... Make new POVs so that your guns are larger in the screen and you see less of the player's hands. JK's POV doesn't make much sense at all, and it makes models look prettier from a closer vantage.

Your modeling is OK, and you've gotten a lot better, but your texturing takes a lot away from your models. Distinguish the model more for those levels that don't have dynamic lighting to show that there's a curve somewhere in that black blob.

Kirby and ReT are right... you gotta bring that model closer to the PoV. You put all that work into the gun, and it looks great.... but from that distance, it looks like a 10 polygon model. What a shame.

Hooray! Very nice model, though the textures do need to be less flat.

<3 this gun. So powerful, so accurate, and yet so crappy in CS: S

CS is overrated and crappy on the whole. :em321: Now that that is settled, I have the gun out like that because I favor realism, and who brings a pistol right up close to your shoulder/chest to fire it? Not I says me, not I.

Obviously it's the same person who spends hours on a model for people to ENJOY it.

Indeed CS is crappy. The entire game is pure bull****, with improper hitboxes (Let's simulate leading by putting the hitboxes behind people!) imbalanced weapons, and of course 9 year old kiddies.

Yet I still come back and play it.

The mag release is the little grey button next to the trigger guard.

It's not a matter of realism in this case, but playability. I don't know of a single FPS that has a view like that, with the players arms stretched out across the screen. The reason for that is because it obscures the player's vision, it's annoying, and it looks awkward. Especially with JK's arm models. Regardless of realism, I think the players are going to feel alienated more than anything else, and that's not a good thing.
Moo.

i could be mistaken but isn't that model a bit on the thin side compared to the actual gun
