I wanna see the stairs with the writing, did u notice that after the 3rd episode of atlantis, they changed the atlantis writing? Its gay now.

I can never get enough of looking at this... redo it a few more times if you want to; it looks better every time you do. Though a release would be nice.

This is probablly going to be the final version. I can use help. How do I edit the foot step noises on textures? I have tryed it with the shaders, and havent had any luck.

For the most part, as I understand it, you don't.

There are a couple flags you can use to change the sound, but it's not flexible at all. There's only like two other variations of the footstep sound you can use.

Because most of the time I end up giving it up. I have been working on this project for about a year now. Atlantis is a very fun, But difficult place to build seeing how the set constantly changes.

casper, I love your maps, but you REALLY need to learn to use some creative design on your own part. If parts in the show are consistantly changing, use the configuration that best suits your map's design and flow.

Your maps are sex in brush form regardless of canon to the show, so just take some creative lisence and build rooms and corridors and locations as they suit.

you also complain that many diffrent locations are just the gate room filmed from a diffrent perspective. That makes sense to me, the city is essensialy a giant cityship, it's capable of flying from one galaxy to another, makes sense the ancients would build it in a modular design for easier construction and replacement purposes.

either way, keep it up.

personally i think the architecture of the ancients sucks.

Its lame, their stairs are identical to ours, they put little plants everywhere, its not alien enough

Yep. It's principal use is for transportation in the local galaxy. You don't need to see the two missing chevrons...

But I understand your point, you just have to tell you that the stargate creates an entry of a wormhole inside it's hole. The Naquadah (Which is the composition of all the gate), when it receives energy, can create a wormhole entry, but it doesn't need to have the whole space of the stargate to function... Oh boy I'm not really clear...

Ruthven, you know, maybe they evolved millions of years ago... But they don't need to replace their old casio cassette player if it's working well! And also isn't it advanced technology to use the DNA as a security code?

I know how it works, I watch the show, and it bugs me just as much there. Everywhere else, they show the star gate by itself, and theres another structure leading up to it as a platform. Except in atlantis.

even in the structures offwolrd with a ramp going up the gate is still lightly buried in the stone or dirt.
