Just the head of some weird creature I sculpted. It's a prehistoric ancestor of the elephants, except unlike the herbavore elephants, this dinosaur eats only the flesh of it's own kind...

maybe thats why they died out.

Sculpted in super sculpey around a foil and wire armature, then baked and painted with acrylics. Mounted on some old wood with screws, theres a notch in the back so you can hang it on the wall. Its my third attempt at sculpting and Im pretty happy with it.

anyways, questions/comments welcome.

Looks menacing. Great coloring. The tusks would look better with a more brownish tone, though.

Thanks for the comment...yeah the tusks aren't quite brownish but they arent nearly as bright white as they look in the picture (due to flash)

anyways, the real reason for this post...BUMP!!!

Pretty cool - the right side is a lot better than the left side though. The left eye is kinda sloppy.

Hah ya this is something I definitly have a problem with...I always make one side then forget how I did it and do it differently for the other side and it comes out different, and in this case, worse. I guess I should get in the habit of modeling each feature on both sides before moving on.

Another problem with the piece as a whole is the woodboard. It somehow clashes with the saurus' archaic look.
