My brother made this desktop as a project for his photoshop class, and I thought it was pretty cool. He made one version, but the teacher told him to add on to it. I like the older one without the 'Metal Gear Solid' on it, but he seems to like it with the text, so I'll post both. If you'd like, I'll upload a 1024x768 version of either of them.

The sprite from 1990 (snakes revenge) doesn't count. It's not an official metal gear game, it's just a cash-in from the success of the first one. Tell him to take it off and put the one from the MSX version of the game.

Other than that, it's swank

I'm pretty sure he didn't include Snakes Revenge.

I think that's Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake on MSX2.

I would suggest moving the timeline up slightly, so that beneath the bottom of the year numbers is enough space for the default size of taskbar. If this is designed as a desktop, that is.

That space can be well used for a small copyright notice. It should be unobtrusive enough that if someone has their taskbar auto-hiding or in a different place, it's not distracting.

I suggest using the timeline of the game itself... I'm not sure how that would work compositionally, though.

In the trailer for MGS 4 Otacon calls him Snake. Also it isn't the evolution of Snake, just the evolution of MGS games. Why isn't Raiden in it you ask? Because he sucks.

I'd suggest adding something (gridlines, faded motion blur, anything) to the characters so they don't stand out that much.

I see nothing wrong with raiden other than that he has girly hair. If you're gonna do the evolution he must be included dammit. ITS THE EVOLUTION

Did you play it on extreme? You had to fight like...alot of Rays.
And snake was a n00b at one point too. I've never understood how people thought Raiden was emo.

No ****, Sherlock. My point is that they shouldn't have to stand out as much as they do, perhaps even acolor balance layer could solve that.
