As far as new areas go, try these on for size:
1. A set of air-tight doors so people can go from the lab to the ocean. This has been done in a JK level before (and quite effectively I might add), but I can't remember the name of it. I think it was in one of the massassi level packs.
2. Living quarters (people gotta live, ya know).
3. Escape pods (I wouldn't want to be stuck miles below the surface without any means of escape).
4. Entertainment lounge (I don't want to go psycho miles below the surface, well, atleast others don't want me to).
5. Power supply room (has generators, convertors, wires, electrical boxes, all that stuff).
6. Security complex (I'd like someone watching out for me if someone went psycho and ran wild on a killing spree).
Ok, and now for a plot idea (since my first idea was possible, but improbable). You're getting ready to graduate from the country's leading finishing school. But before you can, you have to go on an intensive internship program, which takes you to a research station below the sea to study rare marine specimens. Since you are just an intern, the other scientists use you for grunt work. One day, they decide to send you out to collect small specimens. While searching, you come across something you hadn't seen before. You try to capture it, but in the process you are stung by it (you still capture it though). When you go back inside to show your discovery to the others, you find out that there was a chemical leak that was carried through-out the ship by the vent system. However, while you were outside, the crew was able to clean the air of the contaminent. The crew is only effected by the chemical through headaches and minor fevers (you are uneffected since you weren't exposed to it).
Days after the event, you start to notice the rest of the crew acting strangely. They seem to be easilly irritable towards you. Within a week, you have no more friends aboard the station. One day, you wake up and find one of the crew mates staring at you. You ask him "What's wrong?", and he approaches you and begins to assault you. During the fight, you grab your lamp and smash him over the head with it, knocking him out. You go to find help, and find your lab assistant in the process. She begins screaming at you and starts charging toward you. With one solid punch, you lay her out. Confused, you go to the security officer's room, where you are greeted with a gun held to your face. Certain that you've done nothing to deserve any of this, you come to the conclusion that the crew has gone mad from the contaminent. You run from the officer and dodge a gun shot. You hide in a dark, isolate place. Once hidden, you decide that you have to escape and get help. So, you run to the escape pods, only to find that they've all been released. You come to the ultimate conclusion that you are stuck below the sea with a crew of insane people who all want you dead.
Facing the circumstances, you decide to take action to save your own head. You wait for the security officer to leave his room so you can take a stun gun. In the process of taking the stun gun, the officer returns and spots you. The stun gun is still locked up and only the officer has the key, so you begin the struggle with him to get the keys and get the gun away from him. During the fight, his gun discharges and he is killed. You grab the keys, get the stun gun, and flee back into the darkness. One by one, you go around stunning the crew so you can tie them up to keep yourself safe. Once you have all of the crew restrained, you use the communications console to get help. A day later, you see the rescue crew entering the station. You wait eagerly for the help inside. Once the rescue crew enters, one of the members hits you with a stun gun and you black out.
You wake up in a room with bare, white walls and a light shining down in your face. You are restrained on some sort of operation table. You can hear people who are hidden by the light glaring in your eyes talking. "It was a shame. Quite possibly the find of the century. Undiscovered life below the sea, hidden for centuries; prehistoric perhaps. Unfortunately, due to the reaction of the victim, all records and samples were destroyed. The crew said the victim suffered from a poison that was injected into him by the specimen. Probably a defense mechanism of the creature. He was fine for the first few hours, then his behavior started to change. So, they sent him to bed and tried to let him sweat it out. However, they had no luck with that. He became enraged and began to attack the crew, he even killed the security officer! It seemed as though he was self-destructive and wanted to take the whole place down. He released all of the escape pods so no one could get away, then he went around tazing everyone. He bound and gagged them; Scared the hell out of them with the mind games he was playing. Well, after the incoherent transmission we received from the station, we decided to send another team down to investigate. It's a good thing we received anything at all from there, if not, he might have killed everyone. We're going to do some tests on him today to see how the poison warped his perspective. Hopefully, the results won't be inconclusive..."

Who made you God to say "I'll take your life from you"?
