Just a suggestion, start using JED instead of JKedit. It has more features, and once you learn how to use it, it's a lot easier.

I'm not trying to start any "JKEdit / JED war"...

But the fact of the matter is, this person is new to editing. Using the tutorials on massassi will greatly help him, and I can't recall any tutorials that I've ever used that were made for JKEdit. So, weigh that out.

Trust me, I'm a JED fan over JKEdit any day, but with Massassi, these small comments usually can be blown out of proportion :p

Well Yoda... given your skill level in posting a zipped shot of 2 poorly textured sectors with a couple of walkplayers in it, I recomend staying with JKedit. The enhanced features of JED may be a little much for you at this moment in time.

As for a constructive suggestion, stop editing all together for a few months. Do some visual studies of what "Really Real" looks like, and practice editing the techniques necessary for creating this architecture BEFORE you go ahead and actually start a level.

u see those boxes... u simply have tyo push them in the water to the end ( a long way down) whoever gets there first gets 1 or probably 10 points( havent decided on that yet).

That makes no sense. :confused:

It's not a good idea to submit a map that looks like that. Needs much more work.

A. Don't submit it, it's hardly complete. You should NEVER submit your first few levels.
B. Use JED instead of JKEdit. It's helluva lot more powerful, and there are TONS of tutorials available here to help you with it.
C. OMG you still use Win98? Jesus man, upgrade!

You're saying that for this level, people push boxes into water and whoever's box hits the water first gains 1 or 10 points. With what you showcased, it seems like there's going to be more cogging than level, and since you yourself can't cog (I can't either, which is why I try to concentrate on making levels more) you're getting someone else to. So basically, it looks like you're trying to get someone else to make your level. I suggest you add more detail to the level before you look into the cogging bit. Look at other levels that people have submitted to get a view of the different types of architecture they've used.

thakns i know i just still young ( wht i mean to say is urll are probably 24 25 26 or somtrhing like that and im just 13) so dont expect much...

my next one is going to be a drop in sky which u will have to grab a booster pack
at the last minute while in air and then use it........

Keep in mind I was better at editing at 13 then that, but I think I might be catching up on the idea a little bit...

And yeah, listen to the others, they have a big point... JKEdit isn't as good, I don't see why every beginer downloads it first....???

Anyway, do what halucid said.

Because the white box and purple grid are pretty intimidating at first. Opening the editor and finding yourself already in something that looks like JK is a lot more friendly.

I upgraded from 98 to XP pro, and I sometimes regret it.
