Remember the Yellow Submarine I made? That was the flagship. This is the navy.

When you have some enemy navy knocking down your aquatic backdoor and your rowboat's in the shop, you call on the Pepper and his navy. And he sends these. Please excuse my dear lame-*** cannons. There originally were three times as many but it looked awful and it still ate up polygons even with the low-poly ones you see here. I never switched to highpoly.


As you can see, this ship uses large independently mounted steam powered propellors. The twin fins on the bottom of the ship act as large rudders to allow the ship to strafe forwards in addition to normal turning.


This view focuses on the smokestacks and the larger, more traditional rudder. The smokestacks can be reconfigured, albiet carefully and dangerously, to fire blasts of superheated water at nearby enemy ships, though it only works once.


Basically a rough idea of what it looks like in action. A few notes: The deck is wood, and would have a lot of guys crawling around on it. The large boxy bulge in the center is where the crane and emergency masts come out. It would normally have a line of fine green rust about halfway down. Normally, there would be considerable wake due to its dramatically superior speed. So, really rough idea.

-The trick is the fact that the Pepper is the only guy in this whole RPG fantasy world that has steamships, ironclads (well, brass or something shiny and copper looking, anyways), and propellors. Everyone else uses wood ships with sails. Losers.
