Ok, after seeing episode III documentaries, I got some ideas for landing platforms and such... here is a 15 min quicky, I need suggestions.

It looks pretty good, man. You see how with every model you make, you improve? Just keep working on these things, and don't let grand ambitions take precedence over making awesome (and simple, at first) stuff like this.

It looks nice and solid, as a landing platform should, not too stretched out or flimsy... Are those little projections along the walkway lights?

You should add a stargate to the middle of the platform.

what?
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){
  do other babe}
else{
  do a dude}

Circular bit needs more details. Make some indents.

I will add small lights along the catwalk a little later...

Also... indents? What exactly do you mean?

I agree with both of those.....

still looks like your wasting polies, but if it's for a little side project or if you are planning on useing it in an animation, it looks good.

You saber was good and this is a good platform, keep modeling and eventualy you'll gain our respect, so yeah... nice work so far.

If this is in-game I'd say take out the carvings along the floor, and just put those in the texture, and maybe reduce the polys in the pad itself.

Yeah those curvy things look like they'd be easy to trip over... I preferred the boxes actually. Not just as a 6 sided poly, but roughly box shaped would be nice. Still looks good though.
